Delete Account & Data

Learn how to request the deletion of your JournalTTS account and understand what happens to your data.

1. How to Request Account Deletion

To delete your JournalTTS account, follow these steps:

Sign in to your JournalTTS account at journaltts.com or in the JournalTTS mobile app.
Navigate to this page (Delete Account) while signed in.
Click the "Delete my account" button below.
Confirm the deletion when prompted. This action is irreversible.

2. Data That Is Permanently Deleted

When you delete your account, the following personal identification data is permanently removed:

Permanently deleted:

• Email address
• Display name and profile picture
• Authentication credentials and linked accounts (Google, Apple)
• Active sessions on all devices
• Saved instruction presets and Telegram integrations

3. Data That Is Retained (Anonymized)

To maintain system integrity, certain user-generated data is retained in anonymized form, meaning it can no longer be linked to your identity:

Retained anonymously:

• Uploaded documents and generated audio (soft-deleted, no longer accessible)
• Transaction and usage history (associated with an anonymous placeholder account)

This anonymized data cannot be used to identify you. Your account record is replaced with a non-identifiable placeholder ("Deleted User") and a randomized email address.

4. Deletion Timeline

Account deletion is processed immediately upon confirmation. Your personal data is removed and your sessions are invalidated right away. There is no grace period — once confirmed, the deletion cannot be reversed.
