1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using JornalTTS ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service. We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time; continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.

2. Service Description

JornalTTS provides a platform that converts PDF documents (including newspapers and other publications) into audio using text-to-speech technology. The Service includes text extraction from PDFs, AI-powered processing, and audio generation in multiple languages and voices. We do not guarantee the accuracy of extracted text or the suitability of the Service for any particular purpose.

3. Billing, Credits, and Refunds

You can purchase credits on a pay-as-you-go basis or subscribe to a monthly plan. All fees are in USD and are non-refundable except as required by law or as explicitly stated in our refund policy. We may change pricing with 30 days' notice.

How credits work:

  • Pay-as-you-go credits are permanent — they never expire and remain in your account until used.
  • Subscription credits are monthly — unused subscription credits do not roll over to the next billing cycle.
  • When you extract text, the cost is credited toward the audio generation of the same article. You only pay the net difference for the voice you choose.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to: (a) violate any applicable laws or regulations; (b) infringe on intellectual property rights of others; (c) upload content you do not have the right to use; (d) distribute malware or harmful code; (e) attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' accounts; or (f) use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose.

5. Termination

You may cancel your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service for violation of these terms, non-payment, or at our discretion. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Remaining permanent credits may be refunded at our discretion.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, JornalTTS and its affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill. Our total liability for any claims arising from or related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim. The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.

7. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which JornalTTS operates, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these terms or the Service shall be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction.
